The preferred method to become a member is to attend a new member orientation and meeting. If for some reason you can not, such as being stationed overseas temporarily or a physical disability, then we do provide a mechanism to become a member online. Click here to send email to become a LongsPeakNet member and give an explanation on why you can not attend a meeting along with your phone number, email address, home city, and professional interest. The Membership Committee chair person will review your reason and send you a response, most likely a “Welcome to LongsPeakNet”.

The next step will be for you to follow the instructions in the welcome email to create a LinkedIn profile if you haven’t already, and join our LongsNetPeak LinkedIn Group. Your membership information will be kept in private along with all the members who became members by attending a meeting.

Our efforts to communicate with regional employers to uncover employment opportunities are dependent on an accurate assessment of the talent represented by LongsPeakNet. As a member, you are encouraged to participate in our registration survey which may lead directly to an employment opportunity for you. This registration questionnaire takes about 5 minutes to complete.

Your participation in this registration is completely confidential and your name and other contact information will not be associated wit your responses. Only aggregate results will be reported. The resulting information will then be complied periodically and used to communicate to prospective employers who are in need of the skills and experience identified in this overall membership registration. If an employer is looking for specific skills, LongsPeakNet will connect that employer through LinkedIn profiling and by posting employer needs during regular meeting and on the LongsPeakNet website.
